Interlibrary Loan is a service provided by the library to borrow materials from outside the VALNet consortium and the WIN-Borrow network of Washington-Idaho libraries.
Procedures:
Fill out a yellow slip (available at the circulation counter) to make a request.
Interlibrary loan requests may take several weeks to arrive.
Two interlibrary loan requests per patron may be in process at one time.
Only books and magazine articles may be requested; the library cannot fill requests for video or audio formats.
No books published within the previous year may be requested.
Magazine or journal articles may be requested in photocopied format only.
All charges for loans and photocopying will be passed onto the patron.
Any patron who does not collect the requested materials may lose the privilege to make use of this service.
Materials borrowed from other libraries generally may not be renewed.
Fines accrue at .25/day for overdue interlibrary loan materials.
