Moscow – Creative Aging: Flower Impressionism

Discover the joy of impressionist painting! In this four-week class taught by artist Julene Ewert, you’ll celebrate the beauty of flowers through the expressive language of Impressionist painting. Inspired by gardens, wildflowers, and the ever-changing play of light and color, this class explores loose brushwork, vibrant palettes, and layered textures to capture the feeling of nature rather than every detail. No experience is necessary. All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with one large completed painting.

For adults ages 55 and above. Class meets once a week for four weeks at the 1912 Center Arts Room.

Due to the limited enrollment and grant-funded nature of this program, participants are expected to attend all four sessions. Please register only if you can commit to the entire series.

Class 1: Wednesday, Sept. 9: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Class 2: Wednesday, Sept. 16: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Class 3: Wednesday, Sept. 23: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Class 4: Wednesday, Sept. 30: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

This program is funded through the Idaho Commission for Libraries (ICFL) Creative Aging Grant, made possible by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). Presented by Latah County Library District in partnership with Friendly Neighbors at the 1912 Center.
