Genesee – Seed Starting with UI Extension

Ready to start your garden from seed? Learn how on Thursday, March 26, at 5:00 pm with UI Extension! In this class, we will cover the basics of successful seed starting, including timing, soil mixes, lighting, and transplanting techniques to give your plants a strong start. We will make newspaper pots and start some seeds! We will also introduce participants to the many resources available through the University of Idaho and UI Extension, including soil testing services, the Master Gardener training program, and community garden and home horticulture classes. Participants will also learn how community members can audit courses through the University of Idaho to continue expanding their gardening knowledge. This session is a great way to build both practical skills and connections to local gardening education and support. Meet other gardeners and learn about the new Genesee Garden Club.
